Now DC wants to hire a new writer for the new Superman 52 comics, and this writer is openly anti-gay.

So, if you ever see any of my work somewhere else, please make sure that the link isn't one of these first. I can't imagine why anyone would steal my stuff, but I've seen people steal before credit from other before, and it always ends badly.

So, I haven't written a new journal since last October, at that was from the Star Trek convention in Chicago (see previous journal). However, I've had some life changes worth writing about this year, and it's time to share them.

I no longer work for WalMart (Yeah Me!). The bad news is that I've basically been unemployed since then. I had left for a job through a temp service that didn't work out. The temp service found me another assignment, but I ended my assignment without proper notice, and the temp service I could no longer work through them (my bad). I did get a "retirement" check from WalMart (had almost five years with them) and that got us most of the way through the past few months. It's starting to get tight (my wife has been doing babysitting, but that doesn't bring in much), so I've been applying at a few places hoping to get another job.

The other good news is that, even if I don't get another job, I've recently been accepted to Western Michigan University, and we'll be able to pay some bills with the student loans I'll be getting over the next few years. The downfall there is that I have to get my next degree rather quickly to minimize the amount of our loans.

Anyway, those are the major highlights. Have more Star Trek drawings that I need to get up as soon as I have access to a decent scanner again. Hope to get that done while I'm at WMU.
